For students under 18, we collect only the minimum information necessary to provide our educational services, and we require parental or school consent where required by applicable law.

We use the information we collect to provide, maintain, and improve our platform; personalise your learning experience and cognitive assessments; track your progress and generate performance reports; communicate with you about your account, updates, and educational content; and comply with legal obligations.

We use assessment and training data to power our AI models that adapt content difficulty and recommend learning paths. This processing is core to the educational value of Cognispyr and is performed under our legitimate interest in providing an effective learning platform.

We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We do not use student data for advertising purposes.

We may share your information with schools and educators who have enrolled you in the platform, as necessary to provide the educational service. Schools and educators are bound by data processing agreements that restrict their use of your data.

We may share information with trusted service providers who assist us in operating the platform, subject to confidentiality agreements. These providers are prohibited from using your information for any purpose other than providing services to us.

We may disclose information if required by law, court order, or governmental authority, or if we believe disclosure is necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of Cognispyr, our users, or the public.

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your personal information, including encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest, access controls, regular security audits, and secure development practices.

While we take reasonable steps to protect your information, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security and encourage you to use strong, unique passwords for your account.

We use cookies and similar tracking technologies to maintain your session, remember your preferences, and analyse platform usage. Essential cookies are required for the platform to function. Analytics cookies are only loaded with your explicit consent.

Cognispyr is designed for students in grades 9–12 (typically ages 14–18). We comply with applicable laws protecting the privacy of minors, including India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023 and, where applicable, the US Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA).

For users under 18, we require consent from a parent, guardian, or school before collecting personal data. Schools that deploy Cognispyr act as the consent authority for enrolled students and are responsible for obtaining appropriate parental consent.

Depending on your location, you may have the right to access the personal information we hold about you; request correction of inaccurate data; request deletion of your data; object to or restrict certain processing; and data portability.

We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide our services. If you delete your account, we will delete or anonymise your personal data within 90 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal or regulatory purposes.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the new policy on this page and updating the 'Last Updated' date. For significant changes, we will also send an email notification to registered users. Your continued use of the platform after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
